If you are a beneficiary of the SRD grant and have chosen the cash-send payment method through banks such as ABSA, TYME BANK, NEDBANK, FNB, or Standard Bank, it is important to note that you can reach out to your respective bank for any inquiries or assistance. SRD grant recipients who have selected the cash-send option and do not have any payment dates indicated in their SRD application status are encouraged to provide their banking details instead. By entering their banking information, they can ensure a smooth and timely disbursement of their grant payments.

Once verified, you will start receiving your grants directly into your bank account.
A Guide to Getting Your SASSA Grant Paid into Your Bank Account
To get your SASSA grant paid into your bank account, follow these steps:
Visit the SASSA SRD R350 website at https://srd.sassa.gov.za.
Scroll down to the section where it asks you to update your banking details.
Enter your ID number and click on the submit button.
You will receive an SMS notification on your phone.
Open the SMS message and click on the link provided.
Wait for the link to load completely.
If you want to change from the Post Office to a bank account or vice versa, select the desired option.
If you are opting for a bank account, choose your bank, enter your name, and bank account number, and select the account type (savings or current).
Click on the submit button.
Wait for the verification process to be completed.
Once verified, you will start receiving your grants directly into your bank account.
Note that the link received is active for only 30 minutes. If you miss the deadline, you can request a new link after 24 hours from the time of the last request.
Ensure that the bank account details you provide are accurate and that the account is in your name, spelled correctly as recorded in the Home Affairs Department database.
